Baking Bad (2.5 hours)
Get your yellow hazmat suit on and come into weird world of sourdough science where Ciarán will lead you through a series of experiments to help teach you all about the wonders of what makes the seemingly simple combination of flour, water and salt, truly magically.
The primary focus of this event is to help you understand the key aspects of baking; fermentation, the kind of flour and of course, hydration. All the experiments revolve around these themes and include a fermentation taste test, where Ciaran will produce a series of breads over 24, 48 and 72 hours, checking in on the colour, aroma, texture and mouthfeel, as well as the physical differences on the final breads.
